VERTICAL 04 — FINTECHS & NEOBANKS

Build your cross-border product on a rail, not a workaround.

Fintechs and neobanks building cross-border products today stitch together multiple banking partners, card networks, and crypto on/off-ramps to fake something that feels instant. Recryp gives you programmatic access to sovereign digital currency settlement through one API — infrastructure your product can actually be built on.

The Problem, From Your Seat

"Instant" in your app, days behind the scenes.

A fintech wanting to offer fast, cheap cross-border transfers today has few good options: partner with a correspondent bank (slow, expensive, opaque), integrate multiple regional banking-as-a-service providers (fragile, high maintenance overhead), or route through crypto rails not built for regulatory-grade sovereign money (compliance and volatility risk baked in).

None of these are actually infrastructure — they're workarounds your engineering and compliance teams maintain indefinitely, and every new market or corridor multiplies the maintenance surface.

Recryp is built to be the thing you integrate once: a single API into sovereign digital currency settlement, with compliance handled at the rail so your surface area doesn't grow with every corridor you launch.

How Recryp Serves You

The same four-layer stack, built around your API.

Here's what each layer of Recryp's architecture means specifically for a fintech's product and engineering team.

01

Connectivity

A single, documented API gives your product settlement reach across sovereign CBDC corridors, so cross-border isn't a partnerships project — it's an integration.

02

Compliance

Travel Rule and sanctions screening are handled at the rail level, so your compliance surface area doesn't multiply with every new corridor or market you launch in.

03

Settlement

Real, atomic settlement — not "instant" in your app's UI while the actual money takes days to move behind the scenes.

04

Liquidity & FX

Programmatic FX pricing you can pass through to your users transparently, instead of opaque spread-based margins baked in by an intermediary.

Illustrative Scenarios

What this looks like in practice.

Recryp is pre-seed — these are illustrative scenarios describing the intended use of the architecture, not completed deployments.

Illustrative scenario

Cross-border transfers without a banking-partner patchwork

Instead of separate partnerships per corridor, a neobank's cross-border transfer feature runs on one Recryp integration.

Illustrative scenario

International contractor payroll, same-day

A payroll platform settles cross-border contractor payments in sovereign digital currency instead of a multi-day international wire.

Illustrative scenario

An on/off-ramp built for compliance from day one

A fintech offering users a bridge between local currency and sovereign digital currency does so on infrastructure built for compliance from the start, not retrofitted after a regulatory inquiry.

Questions We Get

From product, engineering, and compliance leads.

Is this a crypto rail?

No. Recryp connects to sovereign, central-bank-issued digital currencies and regulated stablecoins — not permissionless cryptocurrency. The compliance and settlement guarantees are built for regulated money, not speculative assets.

What does the API actually give us access to?

Settlement across whichever sovereign digital currency corridors are live at the time you integrate. We're pre-seed and prioritizing our first corridors now, so early partners get real input into what ships first.

How do we handle compliance obligations that are still ours as a licensed entity?

Recryp enforces rail-level policy — Travel Rule, sanctions screening — but doesn't replace your own regulatory obligations as a licensed fintech. Think of it as compliance infrastructure that reduces your operational burden, not a substitute for your license.

Is there a sandbox to build against before going live?

We're building toward exactly that as part of our pre-seed roadmap. Reach out and we'll loop you in as it becomes available.

Building the cross-border feature your banking partners can't keep up with?

Tell us about your product and the corridors your users need — we're shaping our early integration partners now.
